I signed my first Union card (UFCW) in 1988 in Gunnison, Colorado.
I first got active in my Union (AFT) in Madison, Wisconsin a few years later.
A few years after that, I was hired on as an Organizer (UE) and we won a 2600 person union election in Iowa City, Iowa.
I’ve lived and organized in Burlington, Vermont for over 20 years. I am currently the Director of AFT Vermont. We are the fastest growing Union in the state, the largest AFL-CIO union in Vermont and represent public higher education and health care professionals in every county.
